Prof Hahn has been researching polyvinyl polysiloxanes, the basic material for modern impression materials, since the mid-1990s.
In 1996, he received the DGZMK's highest honour, the Miller Prize, for the development of the reaction pyrolysis of these materials.
He was one of the first to make the water-repellent impression materials hydrophilic through functional substitution and, over time, highly hydrophilic and super (highly) hydrophilic. Added to this was the so-called snap set (more processing time, rapid curing), high-precision margin drawing, uncompromising dimensional accuracy and good demouldability.
The Cumdente thixotropic impression products have been setting new standards in moulding for 20 years.
As putty and ultra-flowable "correction" material or directly from the mixing unit.
